Premium hydronic climate control

Comfort in summer and winter, with energy from your own roof.

Heat pumps powered by solar panels, a buffer tank and quiet fan coils in every room. We design and install the complete system.

A city corner with a Sollis building shown in sectionThe sun charges the photovoltaic panels on the roof. The energy powers the heat pumps, which heat or cool the water in the buffer tank. The water runs down the risers to the fan coils in every apartment. Around it: the city, trees, a lake, birds and people. 21,0°24,0° 1Solar panels 2Heat pumps 3Buffer tank35 °C7 °C 4Supply & return risers 5Fan coils

Winter: the heat pumps heat the water in the buffer tank and the fan coils heat the rooms.

How it works

From the sun to every room

  1. Solar panelsThey produce electricity on the roof. The heat pumps use it directly and the rest comes from the grid.
  2. Heat pumpsIn winter they extract heat from the outdoor air, in summer they reject it. They work best with low-temperature water.
  3. Buffer tankThe buffer tank holds the hot or chilled water and evens out the heat pump starts. Midday solar surplus can be stored here.
  4. Supply and return risersThey carry the water to each apartment or zone, where consumption can be metered separately.
  5. Fan coilsThey heat, cool and dehumidify each room, with the temperature set separately.

Benefits

One system, all year round

  • Heating and coolingThe same pipes and terminals, winter and summer.
  • DehumidificationIn summer the fan coils remove moisture from the air.
  • Energy from the roofThe heat pumps use the electricity the panels produce.
  • Clean façadesWith a rooftop plant, no outdoor units on the façade.
  • Each room at its own temperatureA thermostat or remote control in every room.
  • QuietTangential fans with DC Inverter motors and quiet modes.
  • Fair cost sharingA heat meter per apartment with a shared plant.
  • App controlModels with Wi-Fi+ work with Smart Life, Google Home and Alexa.

Complete HVAC services

One partner, from the first visit to commissioning

You don't have to coordinate the designer, the equipment supplier and the installer yourself.

  • Technical assessment

We visit the building and look at the roof, the existing system, the electrical connection and the consumption. We tell you what can and cannot be done.

  • Design

We calculate heating and cooling loads and size the heat pumps, the hydraulic circuit, the terminals and the solar array.

  • Heat pumps and solar panels

The panels on the roof power the heat pumps. Daytime surplus energy can be stored as hot water in the buffer tank.

  • Fan coils and terminals

We choose the right terminal for every room: wall-mounted, recessed, false-ceiling or bathroom units.

  • Installation

Hydraulic, electrical and solar installation, coordinated with the contractor, the owners' association or the building manager.

  • Commissioning

Hydraulic balancing, settings, tests and training for the people who use and manage the system.

  • Heat recovery ventilation

Fresh air with the windows closed, recovering part of the heat from the exhaust air.

  • Automation and control

Room and zone control from a thermostat, an app or the building management system.
